From all of the gardens I have visited in Hong Kong, Nan Lian Garden was the most tourist-y of all.

I don't want to diminish the beauty of the place since it was a very pleasant experience. Very spacious, almost empty (a rarity in Hong Kong) and with more than enough sights to see. But the garden does seem to lack a bit of "character" when compared to more traditional and older gardens.
